Arez
A hiking and environmental association in Zaghouan, established in 2003. The activity of spelunking began in '94 with the youth club at the community center. Mohamed Khomsi from Zaghouan Adventure was one of the first young people to be trained in spelunking.
The environment of Zaghouan is conducive to outdoor tourism. We have a small cave perfect for amateur spelunkers. For experts, new caves are an ongoing discovery. 13 have been explored in collaboration with the Lyon spelunking club. In 2004, a large chimney was discovered within the mine cave. In 2011, the Églantine cave was located. Its name comes from the Églantine Festival. It even concealed a human skeleton over 7000 years old and cave paintings.
