Wilderness Travel Offers Discounts to Travelers While Dollar Roars Against Euro

With the dollar currently holding strong against the Euro, up as much as 16% from when Wilderness Travel priced its 2015 trips, the adventure travel company is passing the savings -- as much as $700 per person on some trips -- to its customers.

For a limited time as long while the dollar maintains its strength, Wilderness Travel is offering customers a discount at the time of booking based on the dollar’s price against the Euro or other European currency.

When travelers book their trip, the company will purchase the relevant currency (Euros, Krone, etc.) for that trip the same day, locking in the favorable currency rate and guaranteeing the savings, no matter how many months away the trip dates are. For trips booked with a currency discount, the first deposit ($500) is non-refundable.

“This is totally the year to go to Europe!” says Barbara Banks, director of marketing and new trip development for Wilderness Travel. “We have nearly 40 trips with a discount, some as high as $700 per person.”
