Small Ship Adventure Cruise Company AdventureSmith Explorations Announces Contest to Win Amazon Cruise

Small ship cruise expert AdventureSmith Explorations is launching a contest where one lucky person will win an Amazon Cruise for two.

Participants in the contest will enter to win a three-night Amazon Cruise that will journey along Peru’s upper Amazon rainforest: the Pacaya Samiria National Reserve.  Guests fly to Iquitos,Peru, and are transferred from the airport to the embarkation port in Nauta, before entering the protected area where they will explore small villages, secluded rivers and lakes, and be greeted with an abundance of wildlife, all the while kayaking, fishing and hiking through the Amazon. The cruise itinerary will differ depending on the height of the water.  High waters are typically prevalent November through May while low waters prevail from June through October.

The cruise takes place on the 28-passenger Delfin II, a small luxury riverboat that stands out because of her locally sourced architecture and construction. Guests are served fresh, local cuisine and can expect an upscale and luxurious cruise experience while surrounded by rugged jungle and wildlife.

AdventureSmith Explorations’ Delfin II Amazon River Cruise (http://www.adventuresmithexplorations.com/delfin-ii-amazon-river-cruise) departs weekly throughout the year. The per person double rate in 2015 is from $2,950. This includes accommodation, meals, guides and land excursions.

Entrants must submit a creative travel journal of a past cruise they have taken with AdventureSmith Explorations. The journal should be a minimum of 500 words and include at least 10 photos that were taken on their trip. Applications are being accepted until Jan. 31, 2016.  Contestants can view previous travel journals for inspiration of how to compose a journal worthy of a win. Last year’s winning travel journal about a cruise inAlaska was written by AdventureSmith guest Marjorie Kirsch. Her journal won her a free cruise to the Galapagos Islands.
