Save up to $200 per couple on fall 2014 and all 2015 departures

Sailing from Seattle, Washington, Un-Cruise Adventures explores the scenic islands, shorelines and glacial fjords of coastal Washington’s and British Columbia’s Salish Sea on two adventure cruise itineraries offered in fall and spring.  An adventure savings of up to $200 per couple is offered on fall 2014 and all 2015 sailings.

The 60-guest Wilderness Adventurer expedition vessel sails a weeklong Explore! Olympic Wilderness & San Juan Islands itinerary exploring south Hood Canal, Olympic Peninsula and the San Juan Islands. The 22-guest Safari Quest yacht sails a weeklong British Columbia Yachters’ Paradise itinerary exploring the San Juan Islands, Canada’s Harmony and Gulf Islands and Princess Louisa Inlet.  Both itineraries sail roundtrip Seattle, WA from September – November and April – May.  Travelers booking a cruise departing fall 2014 through fall 2015 by September 30, 2014, save $100 per couple on the Wilderness Adventurer and $200 per couple on the Safari Quest.

“The waterways, fjords and islands of the Pacific Northwest are a playground for boaters and well known for gunkholing adventures,” said Captain Dan Blanchard, CEO. “We keep a flexible schedule as we search for wildlife and each day’s new adventure.”

Gunkholing is a term widely used in the Northwest to describe a style of boating among the islands—meandering from place to place seeking out isolated anchorages.

Highlights of the coastal Washington itinerary include hiking in Olympic National Park (a World Heritage Site), Mt. Constitution and Washington State Parks. Explore the scenic San Juan Islands by land and sea with time ashore on Orcas, Sucia and San Juan Island.  In Quilcene Bay, a local family hosts a home-grown oyster and clam tasting. Guests enjoy free time in scenic Friday Harbor and discover Native cultures in Port Townsend.

The British Columbia itinerary explores Harmony Islands, Jervis Inlet, Gulf Islands and Victoria, BC; San Juan Islands and Friday Harbor, WA.  A highlight is extended time in Princess Louisa Inlet, a stunning fjord with mile high cliffs rising up from the water and Chatterbox Falls at the head of the inlet. A port call in Victoria allows free time for shopping, a visit to the Empress Hotel or the Royal British Columbia Museum before departing for High Tea at Butchart Gardens.

Outdoor adventures await on both itineraries—kayaking, hiking, skiff excursions, shore walks, paddle boarding. Eyes are kept peeled for marine life and seabirds such as gray whales, orcas, seals, sea lions, pigeon guillemots and bald eagles.

Fall 2014 dates are still available on both itineraries. Cruise fare includes all meals, transfers and adventure activities. Cruise fares (before savings) begin at $1,595 per person, double occupancy on the Wilderness Adventurer and $3,695 per person, double occupancy on the Safari Quest.  Craft beer and ornithology theme cruises are planned on the Wilderness Adventurer. Charters and group incentives are available.
