Sea Star Journey Wins Two Awards of Distinction – Travel Weekly’s Magellan Award and World Travel Awards™.

Latin Trails has been honored with two of the most important awards worldwide in the tour and travel industry

The Magellan Award was bestowed by Travel Weekly for Latin Trails´ Galapagos Journey Fleet. Travel Weekly is proud to present the Magellan Awards annually. From design to marketing to services, the Travel Weekly Magellan Awards honors the best in travel and salutes the outstanding travel professionals behind it all. Winners are featured in an issue of Travel Weekly in October that will include a section dedicated to this year’s winners.

Travel Weekly has recognized the expeditionary itineraries that Latin Trails have designed to offer onboard its cruises, the Galapagos Sea Star Journey and the Galapagos Seaman Journey. Both vessels offer a wide range of journeys that Travel Weekly has taken into consideration for granting the award of Best Itineraries in an Expeditionary Cruise. The second prize received is the World Travel Awards™, in its South America´s edition in 2018/ This is one of the most prestigious and sought-after awards programs in the global travel and tourism industry. This year is the second year in a row that the Galapagos Sea Star Journey has won on World Travel Award™ as South America´s Leading Boutique Cruise.

Since its first prize in 2017, Latin Trails has committed more than ever to improve it services and amenities onboard the Galapagos Sea Star Journey. they have invested in the renovation and redecoration of this small boutique yacht. This includes adding balconies to the main deck cabins, as well as renovating the interior design of the boat as a strategy to continue offering the best experience onboard all intended to satisfy guest´s needs. The result is 20 in 2018 the yacht was able to achieve its second award with the support of all the guests and partners in the tourism industry.
