ExperiencePlus! Bicycle Tours Offers Loyalty Program Called Re-Cycle

ExperiencePlus! Bicycle Tours, which in 1972 became the first North American tour company to offer pedal tours in Europe, offers return clients, who can now also travel with the company to South America and beyond, Re-Cycle credits or discounts for loyalty.

Already this year, 55 guests are using Re-Cycle credits that on the fifth trip offer up to 50 percent off of what they've spent on the previous four tours. The savings continue to accumulate and travelers can get up to 100 percent off of what they've spent for their 10^th tour with the company.

“We've never felt comfortable offering last minute price deals or unplanned discounts for particular trips because the end result creates possible issues with guests paying vastly different prices for the same tour, which we think isn't fair.  Instead, we offer one early booking discount for all our tours and then in 1996 we began a loyalty program to reward our returning customers,” said Maria Elena Price, company co-director.

The outlook for future Re-Cycle rewards continues to grow.  Price reports that 125 past trip alumni have traveled on 10 or more trips. Twenty-four guests have taken 15 or more trips, five guests have achieved the 20 trip level and one couple from Seattle has logged at least 25 trips with the company.

Another advantage to loyal guests is the company’s Tourz Plus! Program that offers travel with vetted companies in destinations where ExperiencePlus! Bicycle Tours does not have its own trips such as the U.S.,Vietnam and New Zealand. There are Re-Cycle credits through these programs as well.

“We partner with carefully selected local experts to give guests an opportunity to travel and add more stunning views and memories to one’s cycling repertoire,” Price said.
