To enjoy and experience Bhutan your way, choose from:
As well as the classic, well known Bhutan hikes such as The Laya Trek and The Snowman Trek, there's remote trekking in the Haa Valley, a trek to Gangkar Puensum-the world's highest unclimbed peak (and likely to remain so), plus choices too for short walks.
On our private Bhutan Cultural Vacations, you can visit impressive Dzongs, explore ancient monasteries and experience the wonders of Bhutan from the majestic Himalayan peaks to its tiny cities and even tinier rural villages.
Our Bhutan Luxury Tours use the finest accommodations in each location visited, the boutique style Amankora Luxury Hotels created by Aman Resorts.
On our Bhutan Family Vacations, you can explore the rich culture of this enchanted realm, meet the friendly Bhutanese people, marvel at dramatic landscapes, explore ancient Dzongs and Monasteries and learn the ways of this beguiling Kingdom. Perfect for enquiring young minds and insightful for grown ups too.
Bhutan doesn't have many roads. Indeed up until the 1960's, it didn't have any roads at all, and the only way to get around was on foot or horse back. Even now Bhutan's few highways are relatively traffic free. A single carriageway road traverses the country and with many challenging switchbacks leading to high passes and blistering free wheeling descents!!!
Bhutan Multi-Activity Adventures
As well as exploring Bhutan, you can have fun at the same time on this Bhutan adventure vacation. Specially designed for active people, this multi-activity adventure allows you to explore and experience Bhutan. The suggested trip includes moderate trekking, cycling as well as some white water thrills by raft and spot of cultural sightseeing too.
Some Bhutan festivals are now very well known amongst travelling circles and have become very popular tourist attractions too as a result. Paro and Thimpu festivals in particular. For these festivals, hotels and flights to Bhutan are often fully booked up to a year in advance. Other Bhutan festivals remain a much more local affair and present a more intimate experience for the discerning traveller to Bhutan.
For any of our Bhutan vacations, you may wish to include a festival or two! To help you decide which Bhutan festival you'd like to experience, when and where they happen, we've created the special festivals of Bhutan information page.
While Bhutan festival vacations have now very much become a part of the mass market tour operator scene, it's still possible to experience several lesser known Bhutanese festivals without the tourist crowds.
