Bicycle Tour of Maine Art Museum Trail Offered - Innovative trip will combine coastal cycling with visits to 8 museums

Summer Feet Cycling has partnered with the Maine Art Museum Trail to offer a multi-day luxury cycling vacation featuring the museums of The Maine Art Museum Trail.
Summer Feet Cycling has been offering guided cycling vacations in the US and abroad for 15 years. Their trips range from a half-day lighthouse tour seven-day tours in Maine, Nova Scotia, Quebec, and Macedonia.
The Maine Art Museum Trail is a collaboration of 8 museums partnering to promote art tourism in Maine. The museums on the trail are: The Bates College Museum of Art, The Bowdoin College Museum of Art, The Colby College Museum of Art, The Farnsworth Art Museum, The Monhegan Island Art Museum The Ogunquit Museum of American Art, The Portland Museum of Art, and The University of Maine Art Museum.
In addition to enjoying wonderful cycling and visiting museums the trip will visit the show Director’s Cut: Selections from the Maine Art Museum Trail at the Portland Museum of Art and several places of historical significance in American Art History including: Winslow Homer’s studio, Two Lights the subject of an Edward Hopper painting, The Olson House, the background for Andrew Wyeth’s Christina’s World and the artist community of Monhegan Island.
Designed to appeal to recreational cyclists the trip will offer 10 to 20 miles per day of cycling. The fully supported tour includes lodging, most meals, bike rental, van support, museum admissions and two guides. The trip will run on June 21-17, 2015 and again on September 6-12, 2015 and is priced at $2595.00 per person.
