Trekking Porter - Nepal

These guys are the unsung heroes of any trek in Nepal, and nowadays you can easily come across women porters as well.

Leaving you free to trek unencumbered, the porters carry your main baggage on the trek to your next overnight accommodation or camp.

While on a Bhutan Trek it's usually a pack of animals that carry the heavy loads, in Nepal it's usually the porters—although for very large expedition style treks Yaks and Dzos are also used.
