Soberania National Park, located in the Panama Canal Watershed, is a perfect spot for birdwatchers and nature lovers. You'll be picked up in the morning for the short transfer to the park, crossing the Chagres River to reach the Pipeline road and visit the Rainforest Discovery Center. Here you'll have a spectacular view of the vast territory of the national park, and can spot species such as Keel-Billed Toucans, Red-Lored Amazons and noisy Mantled Howler Monkeys.
You'll continue to the heart of the rainforest, stopping to visit the gravel road where a pipeline was built during the second world war. You'll have plenty of time to take in your wild surroundings, and to spot some more of the 525 species of birds who live here, before enjoying a picnic lunch and returning to your hotel in the early afternoon.
