Moonrise: Upper Mustang, Nepal Himalayas

"Of ghosts and magic". We were told the tale of a villager in the remote and isolated Upper Mustang region of the Nepal Himalayas who would transform into a type of wildcat at full moon.

Slipping like a spirit in the night through the moonlit hills, killing and devouring the local's livestock.

Perhaps this is why the snow leopard is also known as the "ghost of the mountains".
